TOP 10

I know it's been a while....infact a very long while. Frankly my keyboard batteries needed to be recharged...hehe

Anyways, I will follow the current trend and list a Top 10.

The other day i was walkin thru the mall and watchin people go crazy (or broke...whichever comes first)...and by observation compiled a list of the Top 10 jobs in the mall...haha...well actually the top 10 worst jobs...especially during christmas..

10. The Owner of the store(Myer) - All he/she did was sit around and watch the cash registers gobble up money and not jokin...i wouldnt be surprised if the cash registers actually would end up with obesity before christmas...( corny i kno....deal with it...:P). I also noticed a look in the beneficiaries eye...one of those looks where he/she was imagining the next BMW or even another house along the river....( it was the least worst job...u can imagine why)

9. Being a Kid - Well i wouldnt be too sad either if i knew i waz gonna recieve heaps of gifts...especially since it was somebody else's b'day!!!! well all they had to do was walk around, eat and cry....maybe occasionally get some stick....but i guess dat comes with the age....:). I guess the only tough part was choosing the right toy...can u imagine how hard it can be...( i went to a toy store...to reminiscence...and was surprised at the variety...jigsaw puzzles have an entire aisle...) well i guess they got thru the day pretty arrite.

8. Being Me - The observer...( No quantam physics involved)....all i did was sit and watch everyone...but it was tough....firstly to deal with the counter-stares...and threats....and secondly keeping focus on the primary objective....( it's tough...trust me...i can prove it to you...just accompany me once....:) ) But i got thru arrite...time was the premium but hey...i didnt have anythin useful to do anyways....:)

7. The salesgirl in the cosmetics section - can u imagine how tough it is...to convince women they look ugly...without making them feel ugly....hard...very hard...and i was fascinated by the salesgirl....she tactfully convinced women that by putting on dat specific type of mascara they would look pretty without telling them they were ugly in the first place...kudos...but i would hate to watch what would happen to her if she had a slip up....women during christmas can be voracious and violent...( check boxing day sale...Myers... google it...)

Will continue the post in december..... :)

Various rants

An advice from Sam - " Change...You fight to hold on...You fight to let go.."...The quote from "the wonder years" completely fits the current affairs...only instead replace 'change' with 'power'.

It might be too obvious to state that after the end...there is always a beginning...

Today the sun shone bright and reminded me of things to come...To my surprise...things worked the way they were meant to be....today a new life was started...new experiences were waiting to happen...optimism was the fragrance and energy was the colour. To finally sum it up...all's well that begins well...

A small post about golf

I spent my weekend watching the british open and viva Tiger. What a phenomenal 2nd day!!!...anyways being an avid spectator always evolves into an attempt to realise one's potential to replicate the idol of the said sport.

Like all sports, the observer reckons the level of skill required to master the game is just below substantial. I was proved wrong (again)...when i first held a golf club...my first experience was at the driving range and the first swing resulted in the club(stick) going further than the ball....but i dunno which was worse, the daring attempt of my mate to run out onto the range while golf balls were flying around or the range attendant's insistence of my abscence from the course.

After all the chaos subsided, i learned the ropes and after 2 years of golf i can proudly say that my handicap is +24....=)...which makes me one the few millions who actually have a handicap so low...

To master golf, multi-tasking is the key, keep ur eye on the ball, ur elbows shouldnt bend, the knee's shouldnt bend too much, the appropriate distance of the ball from ur feet, the colour of the sunnies ur friend is wearing, the movement of the eye lids...all come into consideration...

But i have to say, the game is phenomenal...if patience is what u looking for, try golf...after breaking a few sets...u'll eventually learn to be patient...( because u cant afford anymore sets)...the walk...( in my case, the fun golf carts...sorry victoria park...the cart came that way)...and all the green around you...a great day out...no wonder it is so addictive...seriously..not being sarcastic at all...

Colours!!!!

I woke up this morning..(afternoon to be precise)....after a disappointing day/nite yesterday. My xams finished yesterday...which waz the good thing...but soon it things went from bad to worse. By worse i mean the loss of the 'roos against the damn azzuri's. We did not deserve to exit the greatest sports event of our lifetime, the way we did. But during the realization of the events of the day, i deducted the importance of colours in our life. It waz like finding a source of light in a dark tunnel...( i would have emphasised on the physical structure of the tunnel, but in darkness it would be hard to measure physicality)...anyways back to the point of colours and thier importance.

Wikipedia defines colour as " the perception of the frequency (or wavelength) of light, and can be compared to how pitch (or a musical note) is the perception of the frequency or wavelength of sound". Perception is in bold cause in actuality, the colour only exists because you see it and not because the viewed object is radiating the sighted colour and ironically our material possesions around us only exist because of colour.

I am not writing a scientific paper of colours ( just to glorify the previous paragraph)...but yesterday, I actually tried to get a deeper understanding of colours and our relationship to them. I had a belief that the colour of your clothes or possesions actually relates to your mood or personality, but since colour is based on personal perspective, wouldnt it be vice versa..? Some people see the colour black as a dark colour(metaphor for implied evilness...or somethin with negative connotations)...others see it as the special colour. It is the only colour which is not derived from the colour white and only exists as the abscence of white. ( my research might be inadequate...feel free to correct me....criticism signifies the exisitence of an audience...)

Every morning(or later...depending on the situation...could be rarely...but lets consider that as an anomaly) when u leave house, what is the criteria for ur selection of attire? Is it the feel or the look..? is the look dependent on the colour...? why does one select a colour...? It is has been rumoured, that the colour RED can reveal it's different shades depending on the mood.

Anyways, any opinion or criticism would be more than welcome....subject to the colour i am clothed with. Finally, an open question....since moods can be given different colours, what's the colour of spirituality...and the colour of deception....?

'1984' was the year when 'basanti' was the 'rang' for 'vendetta' especially for 'V'

The title says it all...haha...well 4 exams done...2 more and then....anyways i took a break off studies a couple of days back...couldnt see anymore circuits and waveforms...wink wink...so i watched V for Vendetta...and i wouldnt want to spoil it for you by using superlative adjectives...

A brief plot of the movie: The movie is based on a masked freedom fighter using violence to remove the totalitarian government. The movie is based in future london and the cast of hugo weaving and natalie portman is awesome...original screenplay from ' V for Vendetta' by Alan Moore and David Lloyd.

To really relate to the movie...a must read is '1984' by 'George Orwell'....the book has many similarities...as so does our very own 'Rang De Basanti'. by similarities i mean, the government policies of media fabrication as well the theme that the 'people should not be scared of the government, the government should be scared of it's people'.

There is a line in the movie used by 'V' which uses a lot of words in the english dictionary starting with the letter 'V'. It goes as follows:

VoilĂ ! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it's my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.

Have a read, watch the movie and decide

Aussie!!! Aussie!!! Aussie!!! Oye!!! Oye!!! Oye!!!

Crazy...chaotic....call it whatever u want...but brisbane waz partying....however unpredictable football(...the name 'soccer' sux's....) is, no one could have fanthomed the outcome of tuesday morning's(AEST) game. Brisbane burst into a party and supporters stormed the city beaming with success.Currently exams and sleep( or the lack of it) are the biggest priorities, but they could wait for this one special night. To be honest, i never expected them to win 3-1 especially after the 1st half....but hey that's aussie spirit for u.

I have gone on rambling abt the game, but i must mention, the aussie's love thier sports...be it rugby or lawn bowling. Every week an average aussie family would go to the nearby stadium to watch footy (AFL or Aussie rules football) and the accompanied kids would find a player to idolize. The magnamity of the support and cheer when the socceroos qualified was overwhelming. I'm still elevated after last nite's experience. I'm not sure if anyone can comprehend my mental aloofness, but u had to be here to experience it.

Go the socceroos....stuff history...joga bonita - my reply 'retroceder algum burro'...Go figure

Aussie!!! Aussie!!! Aussie!!! Oye!!! Oye!!! Oye!!!
